We provide Canada's only 6-day
dual-certification kayak leadership course.
The following two guide certifying organizations endorse our curriculum:
- CFOKE - Canadian Federation of Ocean Kayak Educators
- ACSKG - Association of Canadian Sea Kayak Guides

The Association of Canadian Sea Kayak Guides was the first organization to have their standards approved by Gwaii Haanas National Park Reserve & Haida Heritage Site. ACSKG standards are the benchmark against which all other standards are evaluated.
Upon satisfactory completion of this course and with proper prerequisites, participants may apply to become ACSKG and CFOKE certified assistant guides. (ACSKG and CFOKE assistant guide exams are incorporated into our leadership course; with proper prerequisites, no additional evaluations are required for these two certifications.)
ACSKG and CFOKE certified assistant sea kayak guides are qualified to work in Pacific Rim and Gwaii Haanas National Parks as professional assistant guides on overnight and multi-day wilderness sea kayak expeditions. Numerous other government agencies and private businesses around the world also recognize Canada's high certification standards.

Receive a $100 discount on a Wilderness Alert first aid course,
by mentioning you were referred by Evolution Guide School when you register.
Radio and first aid certificates are not required in order to take our course;
they are only necessary for guide certification.

ACSKG ~ CFOKE
We facilitate the creation of solid foundations for prospective certified assistant sea kayak guides by providing comprehensive introductions to a wide spectrum of skills and leadership styles.
Participants who arrive with a solid base of previous sea kayaking experience are more likely to qualify for assistant guide certification.
Certification is an option. Some participants may not be interested in obtaining guide certification, yet they are welcome to join the course to develop their paddling and leadership skills.
