Gord Pincock
Born on the coast of British Columbia in 1964, Gord has kayak toured the wilderness regions of Haida Gwaii - Queen Charlotte Islands every summer since 1981.  He has enjoyed professionally guiding on the Islands for well over a quarter-century.

In 1995, Gord began co-instructing ACSKG certified sea kayak leadership courses with Bruce Wilson of Wild Whisper.  Gord and Bruce founded Evolution Guide School together and co-instructed many courses over their 14-year business partnership.

In 2009, Gord became the sole proprietor of Evolution Guide School, enabling him to fully synchronize the leadership courses with the infrastructure of his other kayaking business, Butterfly Tours.

Gord is renown as the most experienced sea kayak guide and instructor on Haida Gwaii; his expedition log and safety record are unsurpassed.  He has earned a reputation as a highly skilled, intuitive and patient teacher.  Through decades of experience, Gord has cultivated a refined, safe, proficient and enjoyable method of kayak touring with groups of all skill levels.

During the leadership courses, Gord enjoys sharing his wealth of knowledge while instructing and demonstrating the finer points of wilderness sea kayak guiding and touring.

Barrett Johnson
Barrett is a year-round resident of North Beach, on Haida Gwaii.  Every summer, he packs a duffel bag and travels to the south end of the Islands to work as a kayak guide.  He is also employed as skipper & guide on a kayak mothership in Gwaii Haanas.

Barrett has accumulated a vast repertoire of expedition experiences.  He has cultivated a depth of knowledge of the Haida culture, as well as the natural heritage of the Islands.

Barrett's reputation as an exceptionally talented and dependable tour leader provides him with ample guiding work every summer.  His easy-going competence instills a sense of confidence amongst group members.

Barrett is a very capable, approachable and experienced guide and instructor.
